Jack Ainsworth – Chief Editor
I’m Jack, I’m a third year International Relations student at Exeter.
I’m passionate about bringing politics closer to those around me. I want to help to ensure
the politicisation of society and encourage meaningful debate. My main political interests are
the study of degrowth visions and the potential links between such visions and international relations.
I also enjoy studying the politics of communities, hegemony and political ecology.
Outside of politics, I love surfing, yoga and seeing the world.

I’m a third year Economics and Politics student. The need for increased political consciousness and accountability in such turbulent times coupled with my love for writing has brought me back to The Witness, where I’m excited to develop my interests in and further explore themes of globalisation, social justice and racial and gender equality.
