As deadlines stack up 📚, and those feelings of As deadlines stack up 📚, and those feelings of stress, anxiety, and tiredness kick in, it is crucial to take time for yourself.

You are doing fine, you have got this, and you will succeed.

Feeling emotional can be temporary, but this isn’t always the case.

Too many suffer in silence without seeking the support they need.

If you are feeling like you want to talk to someone please get in contact with the following helplines - at the university, the NHS, or other charities such as the Samaritans - or feel free to contact any of our senior team at The Witness.

Seeking support is not a weakness.

Movember to remember. 👨🏻👨🏽👨🏿 Th Movember to remember. 👨🏻👨🏽👨🏿

The Witness urges you all to support Movember.

Men’s health, be it prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide, are all too common. Challenges not only include the diagnosed, but the ongoing struggle and stigma men face when talking about subjects that society deems ‘un-manly’ and therefore ‘emasculating’.

Some facts to consider include the following: one in eight men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime in the UK. One in eight men also suffer with common mental health problems, but struggle to get the support they need.

All of us know someone who has been affected by cancer, suicide, or mental health.

Therefore, both The Witness and Politics society are hoping to raise as much money for Movember to increase the awareness, treatment, and support of men’s health to help avert such crises.

Things that you can do to help during Movember and for life? Prostate Cancer UK recommends the following:

1) Use the moustache during Movember to have conversations about men’s health and raise funds and awareness.

2) Catch up regularly, check in and make time to have those frank, but useful conversations, especially about the tough stuff.

Any donations are welcome and we hope you can join us with Movember. Links to donate can be found in our and @exepolsoc bio on Instagram and Facebook.

Keep them tashes looking stylish 💅🏻,
Witness Love xx 💚
